Opinion on best year XC70 or AWD V70-XC70

For the XC70, get the youngest one you can afford with the 5 cyl engine. Tapsa is correct about 99-01, and 98-02 with the older AWD design.

Remember, miles on the odo are not important thing, it is the maintenance history. A car with a lot of highway miles has a cleaner engine than one that was a grocery getter.
