Sunvisor replacement C70 2002

I need to replace the driver's side sunvisor on my convertible. The wires and "end" have broken completely off. I have located several place to purchase one, (prices ranging from $170 - $249)however is this something I can do? Are special tools required. It would appear I will have to remove the connector for the light. Does this require I remove the plastic molding? If so, how?
