Stainless steel brake lines leaking V70-XC70 1999

Hello again.
Recently replaced rotors, pads and tried to replace the new shiny stainless steel brake lines that came with the kit from FCP Groton. Started with the right front caliper. The brake line fit fine on the caliper itself, but when I tightened the fitting onto the solid brake line end, it leaked alot without ANY brake pressure applied...? This was supposed to be a bolt-on fit. The only difference I can think of is that the old lines (which I put back on)had a little more resistance when screwing them back on. Could it be a different flare on the brake line?
Anyone out there had a similar problem or any thoughts on this?
Rolf
