Procedure for testing failed ac system? V70-XC70 2000

Testing compressor clutch:

Turn engine on, turn the temp dials to coldest setting. Open hood.
With a 3 ft long wood dowl, broom stick handle, or like, lightly tap the non moving compressor clutch. It should engage. Be very careful of the serpentine belt touching the stick, it will grab it out of your hands and that can hurt.

If that starts the compressor, then the clutch needs to be re-shimmed.

If that still didn't do it, there is a pressostat switch on the freon line coming out of the firewall. Unplug it and using a short wire, insert it into the + and - terminals of the plug that is in your hand. If the compressor then starts, you need a new pressostat or more R134a added to the system. But they checked the pressure and it was OK?

There is also an AC relay, but I dont know how to verify if it goes bad.

If the compressor died, it should be making terrible noises...
