ball joint replacement on 2001 V70 T5 V70-XC70 2001

How do you replace the ball joints on a 2001 V70 T5 fwd? I have looked at the alldata info for my car and it is not much help. They have the wrong info for the control arm bushings. I have successfully removed the control arm, used a hydraulic press to remove the 2 bushings on the control arm, installed new bushings as they were shot on the one side. I had a tough time getting the stud of the ball joint back into the opening in the control arm. Is there any trick? I just received my new ball joints. I am thinking of having my local garage do the other side including the new ball joints.
Thanks for any suggestions.
