'93 850 fan not blowing 850

Hi,

I have a '93 850 w/ 180,000. My heater fan was blowing non-stop, even in the off position. I had an electrical fire (? - smoke/electrical smell) and had to replace the heater control panel. Now the fan will work for about 10 seconds when I first turn the car on, but then it will shut off.

Advice?

I thought maybe the blower motor?
