Weird ABS? S80 1999

Ok, here's the deal. I live in sunny South Carolina and everyday my ABS lights up like a christmas tree with service needed, etc. My friend invites me to the frozen tundra of Lambeau field for a football game this past weekend and who am I to say no. So, I drive up to Green Bay, and lo and behold, my ABS does not light up one time in the freakin freezing weather of Wisconsin! My cruise worked the whole time, no "engine service" or anything! It was like my car was brand new! Not one time did I even get a service light. Well, I return Monday to my sunny home and wake up Tuesday to take my car to get all the salt and crap washed off at the car wash and on the way there my dash lights up like a christmas tree again! Can someone tell me what the heck gives, or do I just need to drive this thing in cold weather? Thanks in advance,

Dan
