Thanks Peter, Klaus & MIJ for the prompt response.

Went out today for parts. Had to go to the dealer as my normal source for BMW & Volvo parts was closed for the holiday.

Drove the car there, came back home, let it cool down for nearly 2 hours. The T40 bolts in the thermostat cover are VERY tight. Will try again in the AM when the car is cold. Looks like the bolt for the PS reservoir must come out too to get to the sensor.
