2001 on AWD and Automatic Tranny's how good are they V70-XC70

All,

I have had many volvos but they have all been 5 speeds and front wheel drive. Each have been bullet proof. I am thinking about buying a 2001 or 2002 Cross Country AWD. They are becoming very cheap used. Just saw a perfectly maintained one on ebay for 12K. (Bought my last two volvos on ebay so not an issue if it is a trusted seller)

My question is two fold.

1. How good and realiable is the Haldex AWD system used on 2001 and beyond? I have heard nothing bad about them. Any thoughts?

2. How long should these Automatic Transmissions last? I get dissapointed if things don't last 200-300K. I still have the original clutch on my 1994 850 Sedan and it has 210,000 miles on it! (I really wish you could get them in a stick in this country)

Thanks for the advice.
