left front turn signal blinks fast, says bulb out but is good V70-XC70 2001

THis happened a lot in my wifes 2001 V70. I fixed the problem when i replaced the socket that the lamp plugs into. I bough the new socket at my dealer. easy to do and very inexpensive <10$ US.
