Always a squeak, or could it cause a rattle? S70

Hello all,

I have a 2000 S70 AWD which recently developed a rattle in the rear when hitting small bumps. After checking everything underneath the car (all is tight), I checked inside the car for this rattle. It seems to be coming from the rear seat (if I hit the seat hard I can reproduce the rattle). It almost seems like the seat (when fully latched) isn't 100% tightly latched. I have searched the archives and found several posts reguarding lubing the latch strikers on the seat latches to cure a squeak. My question is, will it alleviate a rattle also? Has anyone had a similar rattle? Mine sounds like the rattle that bad front sway bar links make (being AWD, this car has no rear sway bar links). Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Leon
