Storing a used fuel pump 850 1997

Hi Dick...

My neighbor just put in a fuel pump which had been stored for a bit over 6 years... bought from a junkyard for $15, but didn't need it... turned out he needed a fuel pump relay, and couldn't get his money back, so he just sprayed some WD-40 into it, wrapped it in rags, and left it in his garage. Works just fine.

By the way, how did you make out with that spot in your interior? Now Volvo is listing something called "Atacama"... wonder what THAT is. Like you, I sure didn't know that your "suede" seating surfaces were actually "Alcantara"... (apparently a synthetic)... I sincerely hope no harm was done.
