Wondered why no one responded, forgot to post 850 lol.
I still got my 850 93 and considering making it look nice to potentially sell (hard to believe I may part with it). The paint on the hood is pretty bad, there is a large area of clear coat missing / peeling up, and a large amount of deep scratches to what looks to be the sheet metal esp on the hood right about the grille. I also will probably yank off the metal guards up top where the black plastic tape is mostly gone. Now to repair the hood I was thinking about a following weekend:
dawn wash the car to pull off all the wax
zaino claybar the car (unless there is another recommended brand)
let it dry, then spray some clearcoat where its missing (tape it off / attempt).
get some volvo touchup black paint and fix the deep gashes.
zaino z5 the whole car(i think i can use zfx)
then zaino z2 / z5 a cpl times
maybe some forever black the trim / bumpers
This could be a 50+ dollar project plus a whole weekend, so before I attempt it I'd like to make sure I'm not screwing up everything. It's got a decent shine now w/ some turtle wax I put on a cpl weekends ago, but would like to definitely make the car look good if I want to sell it. Thanks,
