tachometer 850

Hi,
I just changed my odometer gear and i noticed that when i re-installed the whole cluster and started the car, my tach gauge is below 0 and obviously does not give an accurate reading on my tachometer? I was thinking of taking out the cluster again and check what happened? But i know it's electronic and i am hoping the gauge is not burned out. It was in perfect condition before replacement of the odometer gear...dunno how i messed up the gauge, i was extra cautious w/the cluster unless my son was tinkering w/the needle when i went to the John....
oh well..
thanks in advance,
