Its been a long time since I have posted on brickboard and just rejoined. We are interested in buying an XC90 awd with either the 2.5t or the 6 cyl. I currently have a 96 850R and before that a 95 850t. Both of those have plenty of power especially the R.

I am concerened about the ability of the 2.5t to haul around the xc90 which is about 1000 lbs. heavier. While we can take them for a test drive it is not the same as driving one loaded with a family of 5 and luggage.

does anyone hear have any feedback for me regarding driving either of these vehicles. Especially one packed to the gills. I have read plus and minuses about both. I believe primarily because one has a 5 and the other a 4 speed tranny. My concern is long grades and freeway passing speeds which is where I hear the 2.5t may have problems.
