How do I know if it has synthetic oil in it? 850

I just bought my 850 Turbo and I think it might have synthetic oil in it? How can I tell, color smell etc... If it does, can I just change it to regular 10-wt? AND the big question probably answered 3330x, is synthetic worth it? Gracias.
