Tranny troubles...need help ASAP 850 1993

Hey all...as I was coming back from McDonald's earlier this afternoon (like 20 minutes ago) the upshift arrow light on the dash started blinking rapidly. The car can still move into reverse and drive, but it seems to be in limp-home mode, as it accelerates very slowly and doesn't seem to want to shift. Could it be the PNP switch? The car is a '93 850, automatic, and has 104k miles on it.
