I have ordered parts from this company 3 times. The first two times they raised the shipping price after a quote was given to me and an order made by phone. I would find the increase on the bill I recieved when the shipment arrived. I let it slide, but not this time.
The most recent time, a week ago, Feb 16th, when I got online to view their pricelist. I have their website stored in my favorites section for easy access. Well, I got all of the prices off of the website and e-mailed them for the shipping charge and order by phone. A week later, yesterday--Monday, I recieve the parts and to my surprise on the invoice, two of the four items I ordered had a price increase attached. I called FCP and talked with the owner about the price discrepency and was told that the web site had been updated in mid January and that my computer saved the old web page, so therefore he was correct in billing the increased price.
Well, I just want everyone to know that web pages aren't saved, but the address itself, and thus what he said is not true. I have other web sites saved in favorites that I browse sometimes two or three times a day, and each time I go to that web site the information is new, not saved.
He could have kept me as a future customer by subtracting the difference from my bill like he should have.
*****It is so unethical to increase the price of an item after it is ordered and then claim it has been like that for a month!!*****
I called my VISA card company to have those extra charges removed from my bill.
FCP Groton lost me as a future customer for doing that. Cheap prices cannot make up for a lack of ethics.
