Rack and Pinion Units Unavailable in US and Sweden S80

The seals on the rack and pinion unit on my S80 have gone out and the dealer says there are no rack and pinion units anywhere in the U.S. and the Sweden has placed a hold on shipping any units over. In addition to my car there is another car sitting on the dealer lot for over three weeks waiting for a unit. The dealer HAS NO IDEA when units will ship. Does anyone else have this problem or have any insight into the issue?
