I never expected this much trouble trying to sell my '95 855t. I've lowered the price to under blue book and still no callers. In the meantime, as it sits it requires maintenance. The driver's seatback cable broke, the rubber roof strips peeled off and the radiator started leaking from the right tank gasket.
Bummer.
I bought my '88 745t in January, expecting to sell the 855t for a fair price and keep the older car as my driver. I can't afford to keep both and my wife's getting tired of seeing too many cars in the driveway. If I don't get any callers this week I'll put the For Sale sign in the 745t and see what happens.
Surely the economy isn't completely to blame? I wanted out of the 850 because of perceived long-term maintenance costs but looks like no one want's them at a fair price either.
BTW, this is not to be construed as an ad. Just commentary.
Cheers,
