ABS/TRACS Light S70 1998

This warning light has been going on and off for the past week or so. It usually will come on for a few minutes then go off. I called a Volvo shop in my area and he said they have been having a rash of bad computers on the ABS/TRACS feature and that is most likely what it is. The cost to replace was aprox. $500.

Does the above sound right? Any thoughts?
