MPG decreased after tranny flush. Any connection? 850

Hi,

After flushing the tranny ny mileage dropped to 16 mpg. Also I'm experiencing a slight loss in the drive. Do you think there's a connection? Any recommendations? And can I pull out codes while the engine is running?
