Turbo Spooling!!! 850

Stupid Question... Just noticed a new sound on my S70 T-5. When I turn off the inigtion the turbo continues to spool and slowly comes to a hault. The sound is similar to a jet engine shutting off. Is this normal? Ive never heard it before. Does switching to synthetic oil have anything to do with it.
