Odd A/C behavior after repair 850

I had a shop replace my evaporator due to a leak, and now I'm getting some bizarre behavior.

My first and primary problem is that the air coming out the passenger side is 10-15 degrees F warmer than the driver side, even with the controls to max cool. Has anyone ever seen this?

The second problem is that if I get in the car and the heater comes on, which is typical in the AM, then it will not switch to cold AC, either automatically or manually, until I stop the car, and turn the ignition off and then on.

Lastly, the air on the drivers side will come out a 50 degrees Farenheit if I'm going down the highway, but it gets no colder than 70 when in stop and go traffic. What do other 850's get out of the vent?

Any help is appreciated! I've been lurking on this board for a while and learned allot, and saved some money on my own repairs.

BTW, the car is a 97 850 T5 with 57K....it's my wifes, but I get to drive it while it has the AC problem! ....even with poor AC, it's still worth the trade!
