Our 2001 V70 has been back at the dealer countless times for tweaking and repairs. Some minor, some major. Sun roof rattles, tranny hard shifts, engine grinding noises, brake noises, can't lock the car (with or without remote) can't UNlock the door (with or without remote), you get the idea. Fortunately it's all been under warranty but the countless trips to the dealer, inconveniences, and frustations! The dealer has really done their best in trying to fix the problems but I know too many of the service people on a first name basis. I thought that when you buy a car you drive away happy in a car that works.
I'm nervous about when the warranty runs out. I've spoke to other new 2001 owners and the've been really happy with their car. We've made a good faith effort, and so has our local dealer in trying to work out all the gremlins. What's the next step? Does anyone have experience with the California Lemon law process and/or dealing with the Volvo NorthAmerica Reps in after sales with a beautiful car, that unfortunately, is possessed?
Thanks in advance,
Stuart
