2004 XC70

I got fed up of the service alarm mssg , today I pulled the alarm module from the wheel well, battery leaked on the board , looks to be toast.

I would prefer to leave the alarm out, will the missing alarm module affect any other systems? I heard the sunroof will not work but it does work.

I was playing around with vida, trying to learn how it functions.
I have a fault code that has just come on, ECM 928C (cruise control).
IS this related to the alarm?
I have cleared the code but not driven it yet.
The cruise control always worked in the past, just wondering if I did something in vida or if its connected to the alarm module not being installed.
