I need to replace the rear brakes - Can anyone “walk me though it?” V70-XC70 1999

Hello All,

I have a 1999 XC wagon and I have to replace the brakes (complete brake job: pads & rotors). I replaced them once before several years ago with the aid of mechanic friend. In the interim I have had them replaced by my local garage due to time constraints. I think I can remember how the pads come apart, but have been unsuccessful in finding a book or video on line to “show me how” to refresh my memory. If I recall correctly, there is a “double nut” that I have to back off to release the pads.

I know how to take the front brakes apart, but my memory is sketchy regarding the rear. If anyone can
verbally talk me through it, I’d be indebted. Thanks to all who reply.
