V70 interior door handle wont open V70-XC70 1998

This morning the right front interior door handle on my 1998 V70 stopped working. The door can still be opened from the outside but the interior handle feels like it is jammed. The handle only pivots a few degrees and doesnt open the door.

Has anyone experienced this problem ?
