Tailgate Lock 850 1994

Tailgate won't lock with remote. If I manually lock it with the key the remote will unlock other doors but will not relock them. I am assuming the solenoid is bad on the tailgate lock. Is there a way to jumper the connections so that you can manually lock the tailgate and have the remote lock and unlock the other doors? Dealer does not stock the solenoid and the whole lock assembly cost $150.00
