2003 V70 AWD V70-XC70

In late October, I drove to Seattle to start a new job from the Midwest (1500 miles). Car was a champ no problems, I don't drive a lot now that I'm in the city, but since then I've noticed a kind of low hum, whah, whah noise when I get up over 35-40 MPH from the left front tire, which slightly goes away when turning right, especially when on the interstate.
My question is after reading threads, wheel bearing or unbalanced tires. Even while in the Midwest I didn't drive it a whole lot is it possible all the mileage of moving has progressed the life of the bearing, etc. Just as a back story about 6 months after I bought car the local dealer F@@@@@ up and failed to tighten up lug nuts properly after a visit and at interstate speed I realized that the left front tire was being held on by only two lug nuts, long story short they checked after and said everything was fine, but i have not been convinced since. I wasn't sure this is related. I plan on taking it in soon, but I'm wandering if I'm gambling with my safety continuing to drive it this way.
