S70 reliability and DIY repairs for a Brickhead S70 1998

I have a '93 240 and a '92 240 plus a '93 940 all with the good old BF230 motor. Nothing beats the reliability and serviceability for routine maintenance on these cars. I have an option to buy a clean '98 model S70.

I am looking for input on repairability for a backyard mechanic on this model, plus anything else to look out for - she has 150k miles.
