Weird sound from accelerator and... 850 1996

Hi, I have 96 Volvo 850 STD SDN with about 70,000miles on it. I have a few questions to ask you for help. First, when I go uphill I feel some kind of grinding feeling(and it sounds like "grrrrh") for a few seconds before the actual transmission shifts. I previously owned a toyota and I didn't notice that symptom before. It usually shifted quite smoothly. Is it a common thing from Volvo car or do I have to do something about that?

Secondly, I realized that two speakers on the rear doors don't work after I noticed a little bit smaller output from rear speaker system. Could anyone give me any tip on that incidence? I would greatly appreciate any kind of advice from you. Thank you all always.
