95 850T engine replacement 850 1995

have a chance to buy a 1995 850T station wagon with a burned out turbo and blown engine for $500. I can replace the engine and turbo myself (once I get one from the PNP). I figure $1500 max for additional work, assuming my labor is free.
Not only that, I'd have to tow it down to my neck of the woods for a 12 hour drive.
Is it worth the trouble?
