Looking at a 2001 V70 T5 w/ 5Spd V70-XC70 2001

Everyone,

I just spotted a 2001 V70 T5 w/ a 5spd manual which I am going to give a test drive soon. Here are the details that I received:

93,000 miles, leather interior, good condition. Includes premium tires, snow tire/wheels, roof rack(easy to remove), tow package. Heated leather seats(driver and passenger), garage door opener built into visor, sun/moon roof. 5-speed manual transmission(very rare for this model) CD/tape/radio, control volume and radio from steering wheel. Cruise control. Owned by non-smokers.

Having read through some of the posts here, it looks like I definitely want to ask about the ABS and Electronic Throttle modules on the car to see if they have been replaced, along with information about general maintenance (has the timing belt been replaced, was it serviced at the dealer, etc.). I was also going to bring over a scanner to plug into the car to see if there are any problem codes. Are there any other major trouble spots that I should watch out for when looking over the car?

Finally, a question about price. The car is listed at $8990 (private owner, not a dealer). That is in the ballpark of the blue book values of the car, albeit perhaps a bit on the high side. Depending on the condition, I was thinking of offering a bit below that. Any opinions on whether that price is too high or low? I know the 5 speed is a rare option for a V70.

Thanks in advance for your opinions!

Brian
