Crispy Wire Protectors V70-XC70 1998

I'm finally doing the PCV system job on my 1998 V70XC (what a job!)and with 195,000 miles on the car the plastic "tubing" protecting the wires is so crispy it's falling off all over the place. Does anyone know of a product to replace this stuff when reassembling everything? Should I just wrap the wires with electrical tape?

Also, I'm doing this job without a repair manual and following advice online which has been excellent but I was wondering what the little module attached to the box with air filter is? It's a small rectangular unit about and 1½" long with an electrical connection and three small hoses attached. One hose goes to the Turbo plumbing, the others are part of emmissions I guess. Does this need replacement or just a cleaning of the orifaces? Thanks
