The thermometer in the dash of my 2001 S80 T6 has been know to go crazy from time to time ever since we bought it. For instance, today here in Alabama it was reading 56° when we left home at 11:00 AM. The actual temperature was in the low 90s. The reason this is a problem is it interferes with the AC temperature. The AC temperature would cycle betweeen cool and warm. I verified with the dealer that the two are interconnected. He suggested it could be the sensor. Strangely enough the cold readings returned as we neared home. Here are my questions:
What would cause this error only near my home?
Where is the sensor located?
Is this the most likely cause of this problem?
Any other ideas?
