leather vs. vinyl seats V70-XC70 2001

I'm looking at ordering a new XC, possibly through the European delivery program to save money. Must have options (2 kids and a large dog) are the third seat and boosters. What are the pros and cons of chosing the basic "vinyl/textile klippegrund" seating rather than the leather package ($1,300 MSRP)?
