Lumbering 93 model with Steering Fluid hemorrhage 850

The leak was initially seen at the drivers side... now the passenger side is a profuse gravity drain when just sitting, engine off. The pump just pushes more of it out.
I've traced the source to the passenger side steering gear boot as it mounts on the inside. AT this union I see clean aluminum...
Is this a death rattle for the R&P or a component fix?
