Moving alarm/keyless entry from 93->96 850? 850 1996

Does anybody know if the volvo alarm/keyless entry on a 93 850 will work on a base model 96 850? My 93 has the factory alarm/remote installed as an accessory by the previous owner. The 96 is the base model w/ no remote. The 93 remotes only have 2 buttons, side by side. Will this system work on a 96?

If so, what is involved in removing it from the 93? I'm pretty sure the 96 is pre-wired for the system. I just don't know what components need to be moved or if they will work. I know there is a hood release sensor, and the alarm horn on the firewall. Thanks for any advice here.
