I've been using AmsOil engine oil for decades (literally), their greases for years, and lately their marine lubricants (new products) as well for my boats. And of course, I use only their ATF in my car transmissions (AW7_).
But I just got a fresh couple of cases of ATF and, to my surprise, I happened to see on the bottles' stickers, among all the compatibilities listed, the designation JWS 3309. My older bottles that I still had on hand also listed this, but I never paid any attention to it -- I have only 240s, and my daughter's '07 S60 is 3,000 mi away so I can't do her servicing (she leaves it to the dealer), so I haven't been as attentive for this listing as perhaps I should be. But isn't JWS 3309 what the newer AWD Volvos require?
If it is, it sounds like this is a less expensive buy for those of you needing a tranny flush. The AmsOil catalog (I get this periodically) lists it has $9.75 per quart and $115.65 for the case of 12 bottles.
Just thought I'd offer the tip. And let me know if I'm right about 3309 being what you guys need.
Regards to all.
By the way, the label also indicates this ATF as meeting these specs:
BMW 7045E
MB 236.1, 236.2, 236.6, 236.7, 236.9
ZF TE-ML 14A, B & C
and several other car brands I won't bother listing (domestics and ricers)
