My wife and I are seriously considering purchasing a 2003 V40 with ~37k miles on it...being sold by a dealer--was a trade in and the sticker price is a little over $10k. Browsed through earlier posts on this board and found some helpful information but thought I would also post a more direct question and ask those who have (or had) a 2003 V40 what they thought about it. We have an 8 month old son, and a common complaint for this model seems to be the lack of space in the rear seat--do others agree? Also read some disturbing posts about timing belts snapping and the general high cost of Volvo repairs. What would I be getting myself into? Thanks in advance to all for your replies.
