Battery Sulfating? 850 1996

Is there anything that my car could be doing to sulfate or ruin the battery? I've had a series of batteries that keep going dead (sometimes after weeks sometimes after months) and they all end up as "bad batteries" that will no longer take a charge. I'd like to know what I should do before I throw another battery in there for it to ruin.

I've been getting the Sears Diehard International batteries.
