low beam lamp failure 2004 v70 V70-XC70

It seems I am changing low beam H7's too often. They fail in less than 11 months. When I changed the last one the electrical connector that fastens to the back of the lamp felt as if it was crumbling apart while I pressed on the lamp contacts. Why do these cars go through lamps (it is a 2004 NA v70)? Was there a recall for this problem? The car was bought volvo-certified-used and I have some warranty left.
