new Volvo spark plugs. gapped proprely? 850 1995

I have a 1995 850 (non-turbo) with about 158k miles on it. The ignition coil failed recently and while replacing it the cap and rotor alerted me to the need for a tune up. I just did a tune-up including OEM air and fuel filters, cap, rotor, wires, and plugs and inspected lots of other things. These Volvo plugs i received from FCP Groton have three anodes/spark tips. My neighbor (prior Volvo owner) and I assume that they are properly gapped from the factory, so I put them in. The car started up easy/great and is running fine (I'll check the MPG's after a tank or two). But now after searching the archives I’m a tad confused by some threads discussing different gapping for the same engine for better mileage/performance, etc. and some say never use this plug or that plug.

And. by the way that was the EASIEST spark plug replacement i've ever had. On top, facing out, what an idea!

Now to my question... (FINALLY!)

1) Do the OEM triode plugs come pre-gapped and/or do I need to find out the proper gap and check it?

2) Did they send the correct plugs?

3) What plugs have you used in your non-turbo 850 and how well did they perform?

Thanks a bunch!
