I have several older Volvo sedans and am not up on the XC70. A friend's son has an occassional engine crank but no start with 2001 XC70. He says it runs fine once started (although did say stalled once after starting).
I'm thinking crank sensor (rpm sensor) or fuel pump relay, which I ordered for him since figure good preventive maintenance. An odd thing he tells me is that when the park P indicator shows dashes when it does not start. Now if it were a shifter park position switch I would think the engine would not turn over.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
Gary
