I unhooked the battery, took out the airbag. Behind the airbag I found a metal plate that is secured by 4 bolts/springs. I didn’t remove it. I saw nothing that remotely looked like the "stuff" that others have posted e.g. red plastic, white plastic ring etc. Should I remove the metal plate? In the very center, where the airbag wire comes out, I do see a white plastic piece that looks like it has grey lubricant on it. There is a black plastic piece that is connected to the airbag wire that has a hole through it...should that have been connected to something? I'm just wondering if the V70 is different from the 850...all the posting I’ve read are for 850’s not V70. I looked on the Mitchell program and found nothing about horn assembly. Anyhow, I put it back together and drove it on a weekend getaway with no honking in several hundred miles...and then last evening my wife called to say the horn was honking and would not go off. I met her...popped the fuse and drove it home. Put the fuse back in this morning and drove to work with not honking. Any ideas on a fix? Where exactly are the two horns...does the black plastic cover under the motor need to come off to see the horns?
