When I remove high preesure ac switch from a 98 v70 will I lose freon? C70 1998

Hello, I have a 98 v70 with manual climate control and I am getting no power to the ac compressor. With the help of a friend who is a Volvo Tech I have traced it down to the high pressure switch. My question is, when I remove the high preesure switch from the high pressure line am I going to lose freon. For info the way we tracked it down was, no power to compressor or low pressure switch, checked fuses, checked ac compressor relay un main fuses, The relay was getting power to the 1 & 3 prong, then checked the relay for ground, should be two grounds and I only had one. I took the cover off of the relay, stuck the relay back in the socket, put my freon gauge on so I could monitor freon, then mashed the relay together manualy and the compressor kicked on and was cold, freon was correct! My friend ytraced the schematic and the ground I was missing comes from the high pressure switch = bad switch! I hope this may help someone else!
Thanks
Dennis
