Anyone know how to remove the front grille, or even get my hand in behind it? .... S60 2007

Hi, all.
I visited my daughter last week (she's on the opposite side of the country) and I brought to her a VCOA grille badge -- she's a member, too, and (happily) got her $500 rebate when she bought her 2007 S60.

But here's my question: when I looked at her grille, I couldn't figure out how to remove it -- or even get my hand (with a wrench) behind it (to tighten a fastener behind the grille badge.

I searched all over, and just noticed what looks like black plastic rivets at various points around the grille on the surroundings. Ideally, I'd like to pull off the grille so I can tighten up the fastening badge's bolt (that would extend through the grille), but lacking that possibility I'd hope to just put my hand, with a wrench in it, behind to do likewise.

Are those rivets the secret to gaining access? If so, how do you remove them (without causing cosmetic body damage), and reinstall their replacements -- do you need a special tool to install them?

I'm personally just experienced with 240s, and have never before seen those rivets.

Thanks all. I'd like to learn the secret, so I can try again the next time I fly out to visit her.
