When to change shocks? V70-XC70 2001

How does one know when to change shocks?
Car seems to ride fine when highway cruising, seems I note a bit of a bounce & noise when pull onto road when curb is somewhat high.

I drive 90+ percent highway/easy, same shocks now at 113K miles.
