Pulling a sailboat S70 1999

I have a Flying Scot sailboat which I have pulled with my 99 S70 Turbo many times but never more than 20 miles. Boat and trailor are about 1200 lbs and have alway pulled well, but now I am planning a longer trip which will be about 700-750 miles round trip and would like to know of any special considerations to take into count before I leave.

The manual recommends synthetic oli and I've never used it? Thoughts? Recommendations?

Transmission?

about 54k miles on vehicle

All experinced recommendations appreciated.
